Research has proven that burning fossil fuels causes climate change and can be considered a cause for global warming. Nuclear Energy is the better option. Nuclear energy is more efficient than burning fossil fuel. Burning fossil fuels is a biohazard because it pollutes our water and most importantly our air. Coal is the most the most used resource fossil fuel in America in 2017 but i still dont think its the best option. Coal contains the most CO2 per BTU which is the largest contributor to global warming in the world. Usually a coal burning power plant creates over 300,000 tons of waste ash and sludge each year which just goes into the air and water. When coal is burned it releases residue forms of toxic waste.for example arsenic, cadmium, chromium and mercury.on Average nuclear power plant generates 20 metric tons of radioactive waste annually. This material is isolated and transported and stored in locations where it can break down without causing any harm to anyone. the biggest Disadvantage of using Oil as fuel is that it releases Carbon Dioxide. Carbon dioxide is known for being sequestered for millions of years in the dead bodies of plant and animals. Another reason Oil is a bad source of energy would be because of oil spills. Oil Spills have caused massive pollution of water bodies which leads to the death of thousands of animals and fishes every year. The BP Oil Spill caused billions of dollars in losses and even to this day small Oil Spills keep happening.Oil is not only a fuel resource, it also a greed and Evil resource. Why is that you might ask , well oil is drilled in some of the worst dictatorships in the world like Saudi Arabia and other African countries. These countries give rise to violence and growth in terrorism as this oil money is used to fund these organizations. Do you ever pull up to a gas station and think about what gas really is and how Dangerous it really is. Natural gas is a highly flammable substance that can cause significantly more damage should there be an accident. Natural gas leaks can cause fires or explosions, if not handled carefully.To add on gas is non renewable and is not a sustainable form of energy. Gas is not an answer to rapid growing energy crisis problem that this world is facing. The need is to look beyond that and invest heavily is renewable form of technologies. I don't know about you but i want the earth to be habitable for the incoming generations and if we keep using fossil fuels like gas , oil, and coal that won't be an optian that's why Nuclear power is the way to go when it comes to energy sources .Nuclear energy has the least effect on nature since it doesn't release any gases like methane and carbon dioxide, which are the main greenhouse gases. I should also mention that there is no unfavorable impact on water, land or any territories when you use nuclear power. Nuclear power is also way more efficient than fossil fuels. For example a pound of nuclear fuel carries about 1 million times the energy as a pound of fossil fuel. According to the University of Florida, a 1 gigawatt coal-fired power plant requires 9,000 tons of fuel per day which is the same amount if a nuclear plant consumes about 6.6 pounds of uranium in the same amount of time. In the case of Citizens United versus Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court, by a 5-4 votes, ruled that corporations and unions were constitutionally allowed to spend as much money as they can on campaign ads supporting particular candidates (Francia 16). However, the corporations were still prohibited from donating money directly to campaigns. Ever since its ruling, the court’s decision to allow large corporations run their own ads has received mixed reactions among politicians, scholars, lawyers and the rest of the citizens. Whereas some people have been in favor of the ruling, others have strongly contested the decision, terming it a threat to democracy (Carney 2). Those against the ruling argue that the decision favors republicans, threatens democracy and allows for election interference by the corporations, as they can now r un their own ads in support of a specific candidate (Kosterlitz 5). However, this is just fear of unknown. For as much as the ruling might have negative implications on the federal elections, these arguments are not true and, as far as I am concerned, the decision will not have drastic effects on the politics of the United States of America, especially the elections. First, the argument that the court’s ruling greatly favors republicans is not true because, as opposed to the previous years, nowadays most large corporations hedge their bets and give donations to both parties. In fact, they give donations to whoever is in power, or possibly going to be (Carney 2). This explains why the Obama campaigns were able to do so well. All the funds used in the campaign did not only come from individuals, a huge portion cam e from large corporation, that is, their PACs. Therefore, the ruling will not favor republicans, but it will favor the most promising or prominent party. Secondly, the claim that large corporations will greatly dominate or interfere with the politics of the country is perplexing (Carney 2). For quite a long time even before the ruling, large corporations, such as New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today and The Wall Street Journal, among others, have had the ability to further their political needs. Under the political action committees (PACs), they have been given the permission to support and donate to political parties or candidates. Moreover, most unions or corporate lobbyist PACs have been running ads about various issues or in support of various candidates. Allegory of Sin and Death in Paradise Lost  Ã‚     Ã‚  Ã‚   That Milton's Paradise Lost is unsurpassed--and hardly equaled--in English literature is generally accepted by critics and scholars. Whether it may have serious flaws, however, and what they may be, is less certain, for it is here that opinion varies. Of particular interest to some is the allegory of Sin and Death (II. 648-883). Robert C. Fox wonders that it has not been the subject of much more critical discussion, asking "Is it that Milton's readers are puzzled by this episode and, unable to explain its significance, prefer to pass it over in silence? Or do they regard it as so obvious in meaning that no interpretive remarks are necessary?" ("The Allegory" 354). Whatever the answer to Fox's query, his point is well taken; in a survey of the bibliography of the Modern Language Association from 1950-1980, fewer than twenty references specifically devoted to this allegory can be located, and many of these, rather than pursuing the question of its appropriateness and/or it s importance within the total work, simply investigate its tradition and sources.    Merritt Y. Hughes, in referring to those scholars who have commented on the allegory, writes that "for two centuries critics agreed that the step into pure allegory in Sin and Death was a blemish on the poem and an external incrustation. Recently they have been wondering whether it is not a part of the structural irony of the whole design" (177). It is this latter view on which this paper focuses; the allegory is indeed an integral part of the whole of Paradise Lost, not an error of judgment on Milton's part, as some critics believe. It is defensible on two levels, both in terms of structure and in terms of content.    Since it is the presence of allegorical figures--abstractions--in the epic to which some critics object, it is necessary here to discuss both allegory and epic form. Allegory, according to William Flint Thrall and Addison Hibbard, is defined as "an extended metaphor in which objects and persons in a narrative . . . are equated with meanings that lie outside [it]," uses characters that "are usually personifications of abstract qualities, the action and the setting representative of the relationships among these abstractions. Allegory attempts to evoke a dual interest, one in the events, characters, and setting presented, and the other in the ideas they are intended to convey or the significance they bear" (7-8).
